July 8 - Wine Country Big Q // Petaluma, CA

Wine Country Big Q is honored to have Sonoma County Vet Connect as our beneficiary again this year. Sonoma County Vet Connect is a Veterans helping Veterans Group formed to assist Veterans in locating the services they have earned during their military service.

July 15 - Clayton BBQ Cook Off // Clayton, CA

Ribs! Ribs! Ribs! at the annual CBCA BBQ Cook-Off. There will be plenty of live music, food and drinks as the Clayton Business and Community Association holds their annual membership drive and community fellowship party. Open to the public! Come watch our local BBQ masters as they compete for bragging rights and cash prizes. Enter the raffle to be a judge for the coveted “People’s Choice” award.

There will be plenty of BBQ ribs for sale to the public, as well as hamburgers, hot dogs and cold drinks.

Bring the whole family for a day of music, good food and fun!

July 22 - Ales for ALS // Alameda, CA

The Fourth Annual Ales for ALS Festival will be hosted at Faction Brewing on July 22nd, 2017 from 1-5PM.

Tickets are $45 in advance and $55 at the door. This includes a commemorative glass and unlimited tastings during the festival. All proceeds go to the ALS-Therapy Development Institute.

The Ales for ALS beers featured by the breweries attending will be brewed with the Ales for ALS hop blend featuring Citra, Loral and HBC 344, 431, 472, and 568 hops provided by Hopunion and Loftus Ranches. For more information on Ales for ALS, please visit our website for more information.

July 22 - 4th Annual San Mateo County Brewery Festival // Redwood City, CA

Check out the 4th annual San Mateo Co. Brewery Festival. 13 San Mateo County Breweries will be together in 1 location!

These local breweries have teamed up to support the San Mateo County Code 30 Foundation during Silicon Valley Beer Week.

What is included:

VIP- Admission at 1PM. Only 100 Tickets Sold. Special commemorative take home pint glass with handle. Unlimited samples until 6 PM. Brewers are asked to put their special and limited brews on tap at 1PM. All you can eat buffet featuring Wisconsin Brats!

July 28-29 - Gilroy Garlic Fest and Garli-Que BBQ Challenge // Gilroy, CA


The Gilroy Garlic Festival is recognized as one of the world’s premier summer food fairs, featuring three days of great garlicky food, three stages of live entertainment, cooking contests, arts & crafts, and fun for the whole family. Over 4,000 volunteers host the event with proceeds benefiting the community. Since its inception in 1979, over $10.9 million have been distributed to local schools, charities, and non-profit organizations. 2015 saw over 95,000 attendees.

Both professionals (Saturday, July 29) and amateurs (Sunday, July 30) will compete.


This is a Kansas City BBQ Society (KCBS) sanctioned four meat Championship Series event, a Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue (draw), an American Royal Invitational Qualifier and a Team of the Year (ToY) event for both KCBS and the California BBQ Association (CBBQA).

There will be an optional fifth category of “Anything Goes with Garlic” as well as People’s Choice. A total of 30 teams will compete for a guaranteed purse of $7,500 plus trophies. Judging will be 100% KCBS certified. First through fifth place winners in all categories will be awarded prize money and trophies, and will be announced on Saturday afternoon on the Great  Garlic Cookoff Stage.

“Anything Goes With Garlic” will be any BBQ’d or grilled dish of any meat, incorporating at least one (1) bulb of garlic.
